Our Story
Cherry Avenue Middle School is a California Distinguished school that serves students in grades six through eight in the tight-knit community of Tulare, California.
Our first priority at Cherry Avenue is to encourage the educational facet of your child’s life in a safe and friendly atmosphere.
We realize that middle school is one of the most important stages in a child’s educational life, as it raises the bar from elementary school and serves as a preparatory time for high school. We aim to do this in a way that is both fun and challenging for our students.

A Word From the Principal
I am so happy and excited to be back at Cherry and serve as your principal! I promise to work hard at creating an environment for your child that is positive, safe, and secure.
As far as classes, cafeteria, breaks, and having almost 500 students gather every day, it has been pretty smooth. We appreciate your patience with schedule changes, our students' cooperation with teachers and with one another, and with all of the potential confusion that can occur in a new school year! Thank you all!
We thank you for trusting your most valuable and loved people-your kids- to be with us every day. We want to help make their middle school years full of learning, positive memories, and fun! I encourage you to contact your teachers and/or the administration if we can be of help in any way.
May this year be great for all of us!
