Cherry Avenue Middle School

Our Community Service Projects

Giving back to the community is an important principle of Cherry Avenue Middle School. We invite all to learn more about and participate in the community service projects we promote throughout the year.

Coins for Caring
Each year Cherry, along with schools throughout the district, we raise money for Tulare’s Lighthouse Rescue Mission. Each year it is our goal to raise hundreds of dollars to donate to the outreach needs of women and children in our community.

Canned Food Drive
Cherry, together with schools across the district, collect toys and canned food for those who need a little extra help during the holiday season. Our Bulldogs fill bins of toys to help make a brighter holiday for many kids in our community.

Kids Day
Kids Day is a special day throughout the valley to support Valley Children’s Hospital. Students at Cherry wake up early to sell newspapers and assist Valley Children’s Hospital in the amazing work they do for children in our area. Keep an eye out for our Bulldogs during the next Kids Day!

Christmas Gift Baskets
Deserving families in our school receive a Christmas basket full of goodies our staff and students donate to help ease the stress of the holidays.

United for Good
This year Cherry Avenue is coming together to raise money for Heroes Play Games. Heroes Play Games hosts an annual 24-hour gaming marathon and fundraising streams to support Valley Children's Hospital, rallying fellow gamers and sponsors. With unwavering dedication, they alleviate the burdens of illness for young patients and their families, harnessing the transformative power of gaming to make a difference in healthcare for children. Through their efforts, Heroes Play Games demonstrates that gaming can be a force for positive change in the world. Join us in supporting such an amazing organization by purchasing your 24-25 UFG shirt we wear every Wednesday to show that we are United For Good!
